It’s not really that bad - the epilogue, I mean. It was just weird to watch. There were some parts in the movie that I found unnerving. Honestly, I was already ready to cry because some of the characters died (I miss Fred, Tonks, and Remus already!). Then, Potter killed Voldemort at the end like how every story was supposed to end (unless the author really wants something tragic).

Okay, Potter killed Voldemort. Then? It was supposed to be a joyous day after that and everyone is congratulating Potter for the job well done and praising him as a hero. In the movie, everyone is with their own personal worlds. Jeez, it was such a kill joy.

Then, in the book, Potter used the Elder wand to fix his own wand (that gets him three wands now). But in the movie, he BROKE - as in, in half without anything holding the two pieces together - the Elder wand and threw it away in a “bottomless” hole. That gets him only a wand since he didn’t fix the holly-and-phoenix wand. Another bummer.

Anyway, there were things that I liked. Like how the movie prolonged Voldemort and Potter’s final face-off and how Voldemort got sooty and grimy that got his prosthesis messed up. How they showed how they made the barrier surrounding Hogwarts.

Still, the epilogue was still weird to watch. SPOILER ALERT!! DON’T READ THIS UNTIL YOU’VE SEEN THE MOVIE!!

Sure, they got the kids right. However, Harry only got a beard and had “magically” grown taller than Ginny. Ron got fatter in my eyes with a little beard. And Hermoine looked the same as ever. They’ve got kids and were acting real parent-like which made me laugh because of the weirdness of it all. I know that they’re mostly in their 20’s so that made things worse for my brain.

If you haven’t seen the movie, I bet you can’t really imagine them. If you do imagine them, compare it to the movie and maybe you could shed a little light in the situation.
